Stream smarter, save data on Android
For Android Users:
✅ 1. Enable Data Saver in YouTube
- Open the Data the YouTube App
- Tap your profile picture
- Go to Settings > Data Saving
- Turn on Data Saver
🔹 This reduces video quality to save data.
✅ 2. Lower Video Quality Manually
- While watching a video, tap the three dots (⋮) or gear icon
- Tap Quality
- Select 144p, 240p, or 360p to use less data
✅ 3. Download Videos on Wi-Fi
- Use YouTube Premium to download videos when on Wi-Fi
- Watch later without using data
✅ 4. Restrict Background Data
- Go to Settings > Apps > YouTube > Data usage
- Turn off Background data
✅ 5. Disable Auto-Play
- Open YouTube
- Tap Settings > Auto-play
- Turn off Auto-play next video
✅ 6. Set Data Warning
- Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Data usage
- Set a mobile data limit or warning alert
