How do I transfer my eSIM from one phone to another?

 How to Switch Your eSIM to a New Device

Switching your eSIM to a new phone is simple! Just follow these steps:

  1. Connect your old phone to Wi-Fi or mobile data.
  2. Remove the eSIM profile from your old phone.
  3. Turn off the old phone.
  4. On your new phone, connect to Wi-Fi or mobile data.
  5. Scan your eSIM profile on the new phone.
  6. Your eSIM will activate with a new eSIM serial number.

 

⚠️ Important to Note

Older eSIM profiles from when MTN first launched eSIM cannot be used again once deleted.

However, if you recently got your eSIM and:

  • Accidentally deleted it, or
  • Got a new phone,

You can re-scan the same profile on the same device or on your new phone, as long as the QR code is still valid.

📌 Note: Older profiles cannot be re-scanned on any device.
