Can I send a money voucher and redeem?

Yes - you can send a money voucher to anyone with a cellphone number.

With their valid voucher pin and secret code, cash-out can be done at any authorized MoMo agent or an MTN service center with the presence of a valid national photo ID.

Voucher and secret code details can be generated with below procedure;

1. Simply dial *170#
2. Select Option 1 to ‘Transfer Money’
3. Select 2 for ‘Non-Mobile Money User’
4. Enter ‘Receiver’s name’
5. Enter ‘Amount’
6. Enter ‘Reference’
7. Enter ‘Secret code’
8. Confirm ‘Secret Code’
9. Enter ‘Mobile Money Pin Code’

   NB: You will receive a 12-digit (token) voucher pin. The 12-digit voucher(token) number is to be given to the recipient together with the 4-digit secret for cash out at any Merchant location. Once amount is cashed out, sender will receive an SMS that Voucher has been redeemed.
