Ayo is a mobile insurance policy available to only MTN prepaid customers. The insurance has two policies; the My Life Policy and My Hospital insurance. Subscribers can opt for one or both at the same time.
My Life Policy is a life insurance which allows you to insure yourself and a chosen family member.
My hospital is an insurance policy that gives the customers a cover of Ghc50.00. This amount is paid out to the customer per the number of nights hospitalised.
Eligibility
The policyholder must be a permanent resident of Ghana and of age 18 to 65 years at last birthday.
Premium Payment
- A Premium for subscriber on single policy has been increased to GHC 4, this will be deducted from their airtime
- Subscribers on both Life and hospital policies will pay GHC 8 from their airtime monthly i.e., GHC 4 for Life and another GHC 4 for hospital. They can apply Manual Boost for more cover.
- Increased death benefits for life cover from GHC 3,000 up to GHC 6,000 for both policyholder and family member.
- Increased Hospital cover from GHC 50 up to GHC 100 per night hospital admission

- Select option 1 for Sign Up
- Follow the prompt to choose your preferred cover
- Enter your First Name
- Enter Surname
- Enter your Age
- Premium charge will be displaced on the menu
How to deactivate
- Dial *296#
- Select my profile
- Option 3 cancel policy
NB: Claims can only be received 30 days after subscribing to the service.
How to make a claim
- Dial *296#
- Select option 4 for claim
- Select option 1 to make a claim
- Follow the prompt to complete process
