How to Switch Your eSIM to a New Device
Switching your eSIM to a new phone is simple! Just follow these steps:
- Connect your old phone to Wi-Fi or mobile data.
- Remove the eSIM profile from your old phone.
- Turn off the old phone.
- On your new phone, connect to Wi-Fi or mobile data.
- Scan your eSIM profile on the new phone.
- Your eSIM will activate with a new eSIM serial number.
⚠️ Important to Note
Older eSIM profiles from when MTN first launched eSIM cannot be used again once deleted.
However, if you recently got your eSIM and:
- Accidentally deleted it, or
- Got a new phone,
You can re-scan the same profile on the same device or on your new phone, as long as the QR code is still valid.
